After much review and thought here are my final standings for team for the rest of the Year. I will come out with individuals sometime soon.
1. R.C
Not much else to say here, they've dominated pretty much anybody else. Lamb continues to build quit a program there
2. Sault Ste. Marie
5 Standout Seniors bolster their lineup and with a fresh mix of solid underclassmen this team is shaping up for a strong finish as they will break their own dual meet win record once again under Coach Craven. Congrats to him again on his 100th Career win.
3. St. Ignace
I give them the #3 spot after a strong showing against Cheboygan after getting pounded by them earlier in the year. Team seems to be just a few matches of shy turning it around against the Sault but the Blue Devils may just have their number this season with the amount of experience they have.
4. Cheboygan
Sheer numbers and a few bright spots slip them down to the Four spot. Case and Carter lead the team for now, but Pellenz will be a force. Mankin has much improved. The apparent loss of their Heavyweight and 215 hurt.
5. Mio
Still have no results to go off of except but R.C but still give them the benefit of the doubt even with 2 holes in the Lineup. Burden is wrestling what weight this year? Wilson leads the team with great showings in individual tournaments.
6. Rudyard
What happened here? Smith had everything going here from last years District champ but hardly any noise has been made at all. Maybe things will look up towards the end of the year. Siegwart and Big Knutsen lead the efforts.
7. Onaway
Watch out, don't let this ranking fool you. For what they lack in Numbers they make up for in talent. Bassett, LaLonde, Chapman and Pomeranke are all potential state qualifiers/placers. Almost pulled an upset against # 4 Cheboygan butgiving up 24points hurts in a dual.
8. Newberry
Much improved numbers since last year, and only one apparent senior that I know of, McGinns boys are looking towards a bright future. Cummings and Doke are the consistent point getters for the Indians.
