All coaches at this event must have their current USA Wrestling coaches membership. In addition to the membership, coaches for Kids, Girls, and Cadets must be a minimum COPPER certified, and coaches for Juniors must be a minimum BRONZE certified.
This event features freestyle & Greco-Roman competition for all of the following age groups listed below. Wrestlers that compete in both styles only have to weigh-in once!
Bantam (freestyle only): 2003-2004
Intermediate: 2001-2002
Novice: 1999-2000
Schoolboy: 1997-1998
Cadet: 1995-1996
Junior: 9/1/91 and after plus enrolled in grades 9-12
Girls (freestyle only): 9/1/91 – 12/31/2004
All Intermediate, Novice, and Schoolboy wrestlers in this event must reside in a Central Region state, which are Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. All participants in these age groups qualify for the 2011 ASICS Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman National Championships in Farmington, Utah, June 27-29. In the Cadet and Junior divisions, the top three (3) place winners in each age group and style qualify for your state’s team above the state limit for the 2011 ASICS/Vaughan Junior & Cadet Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota, July 15-23.
