hey there, new member here. I have been told by my friends and some others that i should play football and join the wrestling team. i am 225 lbs and our school still needs a 215 so if i lost some weight i would fit well i guess. i have the type of body/build that if i started weight training and some endurance/cardio i would be a pretty big guy, or so i have been told. a friend of mine is on the team and he said i should see about joining. im not sure about it though. can anyone shed some light as to how i would get started in wrestling, i am 6' 4" and 225ish +- 3-4lbs and could develop more muscle mass. also what do you wear when you wrestle i am really not familar with the sport, though i hear it is physically and mentally demanding. i really dont have one particular question more just what do i need to do to get in shape for wrestling and what is it like i guess. Thanks in advance for your help! ;D

It's not a thought process... It's natural. Wrestling and Football Lineman belong together. The balance, the endurance, the upper body strength... Each of these sports helps the other... It's up to you which you will love more...
