Maccabiah World Team Trials - April 5, 2009 - Today, 12:49 AM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a note to let all know about the Macabiah games and the team trials. The Maccabiah Games are held in Israel and occurs every four years. This event is for Jewish athletes who come from all over the world to compete in multiple sports. As a past USA team member in the early 90’s and one who has been on numerous tours I can assure all that this is truly a great experience on many levels. I am very fortunate to be the coach for the 2009 wrestling team and I am very excited about the upcoming trials. Past Maccabiah wrestling teams have included NCAA champions, all-Americans, and USA team members. Aside from the great wrestling, the Maccabiah Games offers an experience of a lifetime. The tours, the camaraderie, the connections, and friendships one develops as part of the Maccabiah team, is without doubt part of a priceless experience.
The trials itself will be a great experience where Jewish wrestlers from across the nation will come to compete.
