CoachB don't the coaches get together and argue/debate to seed their kids?

L ;)L That's usually what happens....mostly just some ribbing. I imagine it could get a little heated but the hosting tournament director has final say....after all these are usually a contracted agreement between schools. Bad conduct relects deep and a school may not be invited back. As you may or may not know, the purpose is to "try" and arrange so the top 4 or so wrestlers do not meet particularly in round #1. You don't want the potential #2 to lose to #1 and end up 4th because of the setup. Nothing is ever perfect but weigh in variables; record, did they wrestle before, is one injured, what kids have they beaten that were tough and perhaps from a higher division. Ex:5-2 wrestler may be seeded over a 7-0 because the 5 may reflect beating a former state champion and the 2 could be a forfeit or a loss to a state qualifier say in division one. The 7-0 may have been 5 forfeits, etc. I think you may get the idea with me not rambling on anymore.... Usually coaches know the favored outcomes anyway...it's called "scouting"
