Here are our most recent Pre-Season Rankings on www.WrestlingRankings.net/hs_rankings based upon registered schools. ( 550 schools so far this season)
We Need your Help !
Although some of the top Wrestlers and Schools are included in this ranking, most of the Great Michigan teams are not registered or reporting for this pre-season ranking. The NCWA rankings are based solely on Statistical analysis. Without the Statistics these rankings are anything but accurate. There are hundreds of schools registered, but until we break the 2,000 school mark and 20,000 athletes the rankings will continue to be interesting, but they will not really reflect a true national ranking.
As you know rankings serve many purposes in our sport. They highlight outstanding athletes, help college coaches select those they wish to recruit while they recognize our outstanding coaches. Most of all, polls or rankings are entertaining , they provide those in our sport topics to discuss and opinions to dispute. Dynamically changing rankings keep media up to date and give people current resources of data on teams, individuals and coaches.
With these goals in mind the NCWA provides every High School in America with a totally free web site that allows all their athletes to be ranked by weight both Statewide, Nationally.
We believe WrestlingRankings will provide the media the additional tools to compare, contrast and properly cover our sport.
If you feel it is appropriate, I would like to ask you to become involved in this ranking process by helping with one or more of the following suggestions.
1. Register your team at www.WrestlingRankings.net/why_join_hs
2. Subscribe to weekly top 25, ... At your request..will email you the weekly statistical ranking for teams and Individuals
3. Start a WrestlingRankings section in your states wrestling forums where folks can debate Statistical Rankings vs. local and national "eyes on" rankings.
This site is TOTALLY FREE....to all High schools...
Any or all of these things will help grow our sport and give us another outlet to have wrestling covered by the mainstream media.
Please call me Toll Free at my office if I can answer any questions or further explain our site and our mission.
Thank you for your consideration
Sincerely
